Distribution: Distributed in the southern portions of the Mississippi River basin and western Gulf drainages of Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas. In Oklahoma known from the Little River near the Arkansas border.

Life History and Ecology: Small to large rivers with moderate flows on gravel, gravel-sand, and sand substrates. Likely long-term brooder with a mantle lure and periodic life history strategy.
